The Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Benefit Concert for Japan from 9PM to 11PM on Fri, 4/15/2011 at Kenny’s Castaways.
NYC Musicians get together on Friday April 15, 2011 at Kenny’s Castaways (157 Bleecker Street, NYC) for a Benefit Concert to support the great disaster relief in Japan.
Opening the concert is charismatic Japanese Rock singer Key Appleseeds, followed by Passion Project, a band that creates a dramatic, passionate sound with the addition of classical stringed instruments. Ioana Vintu, Phil Reeves and Billy Asai from critically acclaimed R&B band, Ioana & Soulshine, “a blend of popularity and originality” will also be performing, as well as special Guest Singer/Rapper Taiyo Na, a new young leader in the Asian-American music scene. Recently his song “Home:Word” reached #2 on the Japan download charts with the band Magnetic North. Team Japan NYC also includes Shije, Jeff Formosa, John Seetoo and Jun Suenaga, who is also the MC for the event.

We don’t charge admission. Only donations will be accepted. All donations will go to the Earthquake and the Tsunami Relief in Japan via Japan Society, the Consulate General of Japan NY, and Sunrise International Ministries.
