As the Community Coordinator of LGBT Affairs for the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, Edgar will give us the inside information on how to get the attention of the decision makers in your neighborhood.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Edgar Yu joined the New York County District Attorney’s Office in July 2010. Prior to relocating to New York City from California in 2009, Edgar worked several years for the Victim Witness Assistance Program in Orange County; serving under various capacities including Restitution Specialist and Victim Advocate before moving into management. Prior to joining the Community Affairs Unit as the LGBT Community Coordinator, Edgar was employed by APICHA’s primary care clinic as a Navigator, administering mental health assessments to HIV testing clients. Edgar is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine where he completed his undergraduate studies in Criminology and English. He also attended graduate school at California State University, Fullerton in the Master of Public Administration Program.
