Asian Pacific American Heritage Month is a month-long celebration in May commemorating the history, culture, and traditions of Asian Pacific Americans in the United States.
In the past, Verizon Wireless has honored APAHM by hosting city wide concert tours featuring eclectic groups of artists. The inaugural tour occurred in 2008 with the Korean pop sensation Se7en and followed in 2009 with hip hop groups Epik High and Far East Movement. Finally in 2010, the concert tour featured various Taiwanese and Singaporean artists including Van Ness Wu, Evonne Hsu, JJ Lin, and Mike Relm.
This year, on May 26, 2011, Verizon Wireless will be celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month by holding a conference, “Asian Pacific American Visionaries: Innovate. Inspire. Rule.” at Webster Hall in New York City. The celebration will include inspirational stories from celebrated Asian American industry leaders in the fields of Fashion, Entertainment and Sports, as well as feature a Rule The Air lounge with all the latest wireless technology.
