Queens Crossing will transform the outdoor plaza into the first ever “Urban Beach” in Flushing. The theme will be entitled as “Colorful Summer Beach” while a variety of colorful decorations include tables and chairs, beach umbrellas, swimming pools, artificial palm trees will be set up to create unforeseen summer atmosphere . FCBA and city councilman Peter Koo will be participating the event. The grand opening party for the beach will be held at outdoor plaza on July, 22nd (Friday) 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM.  There will be live music performances, DJ spinning and 14 finalists of 2011 New York Miss Chinese competition will join the party as well.

New Yorkers are always longing for sunshine and beaches but not everyone has leisure time to go for the beaches. The concept of “Urban Beach” has become quite of popular ever since and lots of restaurants and cafes put on tropical island style decoration which enable the customers to enjoy vacation ambiance in the city. Queens Crossing is planning to transform the outdoor plaza into the first ever “Urban Beach” in Flushing during July, 22nd to mid-September. People could experience the fun of artificial beach not only in Manhattan but also in Flushing now.  Artificial palm trees and beach umbrellas will be set up so that people could enjoy the food and drink order from food court and Paris Baguette. There will be also swimming pools, lounge chairs and live music performances during summer time which enable the community to enjoy the summer beach ambiance.

The grand opening party will be held on July, 22nd (Friday) 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM with famous DJ spinning and Hip-Hop singer E.X.P. performing. 14 finalists of 2011 New York Miss Chinese competition and other male models will join the party to showcase a summer wear runway. First 100 attendances to wear “Beach style” outfits could win prizes from Mulan, Rose House, Koreana and Paris Baguette. We will also pick up one with best style to win the special prize. All participants can get ticket to Queens Crossing yearly raffle and chance to win prizes including 2011 Hyundai Sonata sedan, Apple iPad2, LV Speedy 300 and New York-Miami round trip flight ticket!
