JOB DESCRIPTION:
Immediate need for a Sales and Manager’s Assistant who will enjoy working in a multicultural, fast-paced and team-oriented environment. We are looking for applicants to work in all aspects of our sales department in, retail, wholesale, and online sales.
You are a responsible, hard-working, detail-oriented individual who gets the job done, and is eager to learn the various aspects of online sales, marketing, and wholesale distribution in the bag industry. You will represent our two brands for online, wholesale, and corporate inquiries, retail store sales, and help the company handle existing accounts as well as prospecting new customers.
TASKS:
1. Fulfill web orders including orders placed directly on our website, and through drop-ship accounts
2. Respond to customer service inquiries over phone and email
3. Maintain and build on relationships with existing accounts (online, wholesale, and corporate), as well as targeting potential new customers and follow up with qualified leads through phone calls, mailings, and in-store visits for New York retailers
4. Maintain inventory of online warehouse
5. Follow up through the various stages of sales process, including shipping and billing aspects
6. Implement promotional strategies to increase sales via web advertisement and social networking
7. Follow up on new advertising, PR, editorial and sponsorship inquiries
8. Assist wholesale buyers and distributors at our NY showroom
9. Make suggestions to improve internal procedures and increase sales and be responsible for carrying out improvements when suggestions are approved during company meetings.
10. Help organize, attend, and perform follow up for domestic and international trade shows
11. Communicate new styles and upcoming trade shows to existing customers
12. Assist in our retail location as needed for both training and sales purposes
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience dealing with wholesale/corporate buyers. Retail sales experience is a plus. Must be completely fluent in English. Fluency in a second language is a plus. Previous working experience in any European or Asian countries is also a plus.
