To ensure that New York City’s immigrant community has a voice and is better equipped to achieve economic, political and social equality. This will be achieved by protecting the rights of new immigrants, undocumented residents, and underserved citizens living in the city of New York from abuse and persecution and helping them locate government-sponsored benefits; helping less-fortunate Asians voice their opinions about the community to lawmakers and law enforcement; establishing a merchant network within the Asian Community to identify community needs and enhance communication and dispute resolution, increase Asian Community’s visibility within New York City, and create more business opportunities; ensuring that older adults are active community members through programs and extracurricular activities; and inspiring youth to participate in community activities that will develop leadership skills and cultural connectedness.
