The RiCECOOKERS is a New York based Japanese ROCK band. They met while attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music. They went on a Tokyo tour during the spring of 2010, where a renowned Film Director, Yukihiko Tsutsumi (Director of the feature film “20th Century Boy”) saw their show by chance and was blown away by their explosive live performance. He later described them as “the kind of rock music that I’ve been waiting for”. He soon booked the bands as the theme song for his 2010 TV drama series titled “SPEC”(TBS Network) making history as the very first unknown Indie band to be featured as a theme song.
Soon after their dramatic debut, THE RiCECOOKERS quickly climbed the charts and became one of the most talked about rock bands in Asia.
Most recently, THE RiCECOOKERS released their first album【sélf】and continue performing in NYC at venues such as Arlene’s Grocery and Fontana’s.
