Company Summary
This is a new opening for a seasoned credit analyst with a broad view of the commercial loan market. Primagency is the fastest growing finance agency in the country. We have a full and growing staff of loan originators in Boca Raton, Florida that source loan requests from $1,000,000 and up. We seek to build an in-house credit and placement department of professionals that first create the pre-loan summary report, and then go to market in an effort to find a home for the proposed transaction. This is an exciting opportunity to do more than just analyze; creativity and communications skills come into play here.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
-This position reports to the CEO of the company in New York.
-This deal-oriented position assumes responsibility for a transaction once a borrower has engaged us to prepare a credit analysis of their business in a standard proprietary template we have developed. You would have full responsibility for client relationship management, formulation of strategies for loan placement, negotiation with lenders on behalf of the borrower, and closing management.
-We would like to build a team of professionals that work as a group. There is a real management opportunity here for the right person.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Minimum of five years experience in a lending environment or in investment banking with a foundation in credit analysis (asset based and/or cash flow) and exposure to lending products and legal documentation.
* A history of networking activity in the commercial finance community and the ability to make new contacts with lenders is essential.
* Underwriting experience required, with some loan closing experience preferred. In addition, exposure/experience within the ABL and Factoring industry is helpful.
* The candidate should possess a high energy level, a proven analytical ability, negotiation acumen, with excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written communication).
* Solid business judgment, the proven ability to make decisions independently and decisively, the ability to draw on prior experience to resolve issues, and good sense in knowing the limits of one’s authority are imperative requirements.
* The ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple constituencies is critical.
* The candidate should be oriented toward a deal driven environment and be capable of managing multiple transactions simultaneously under tight time pressure.
* Business/Accounting/Finance degree required.
* MBA and/or CPA certification a plus.
