Tokyo Electron America, Inc. (TEA), a subsidiary of Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL), is seeking a Field Service Supervisor for our Fishkill, NY office.Tokyo Electron Limited is a global, multi-billion dollar corporation and a leader in the semiconductor industry.
- The Field Service Supervisor supervises the day to day activities of field service engineers.
- Duties include technical assistance, supervisory responsibilities, status reporting, customer interaction, parts tracking and installation support.
- Responsibilities may cover a single tool in a geographic region or multiple tools in a single customer facility.
- Supervises the day to day activities of assigned field service engineers ensuring appropriate customer support.
- Assigns activities of individual field engineers and provides technical assistance as needed including equipment repair and maintenance, parts ordering and tracking, etc.
- Defines performance objectives of individual field engineers and conducts formal performance evaluations as scheduled and informal counseling as needed.
- Meets with customers and engineers regularly and as needed to identify and resolve any issues or ongoing concerns.
- Reviews, approves and follows up on status reports, time sheets, etc.
- Conducts job applicant interviews and may make hire decisions.
- Ensure employees get proper training as available for assigned equipment.
- Participates in the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment as needed or assigned. Intercedes between engineer and administrative offices, factory, or customer as required.
- Maintains company vehicles, tools or other property and ensures subordinates do as well.
- Maintain an appropriate, professional disposition with customers and co-workers as the company’s representative.

Requirements:
Associates degree in electronics, engineering or other applicable field of study. (Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred). Five full years of direct experience maintaining, repairing or installing comparable equipment in the semiconductor industry including two years in a supervisory capacity. Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools. Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures required as well. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline may substitute for two years of semiconductor experience, but is not substituted for supervisory experience.
