Hosted by David Garland and featured composer Huang Ruo, Written on the Wind enfolds premieres from New York and China-based composers into a larger conversation of how place and tradition shape a composer’s style. The evening includes music by New York composer/performers Min Xiao-Fen and Huang Ruo, Chen Xin-Ruo from Beijing, and Shen Ye from Shanghai, performed on traditional Chinese and western instruments.
