AAWW’s unveiling three new web-magazines!
Who: Ashok Kondabolu of hip hop trio Das Racist/ artist Tania Bruguera, the Guggenheim Fellow behind Immigrant Movement International, & more…
The three magazines we’re unveiling are The Margins, Open City, & CultureStrike.
The Margins is our flagship magazine of arts & ideas — it’s where we’ll invent the future of Asian American intellectual culture.
Open City is our magazine that will give voice to the stories that make New York what it is — but that are never told.
CultureStrike will share the best of immigrant counterculture in an online magazine at the vanguard of arts & politics. Go to AAWW for more details.
Managed by an editorial team with experience at The Atlantic Monthly, Grantland, & the New York Times, the magazines will feature exclusive video of authors Junot Díaz, Jhumpa Lahiri, Teju Cole, & Maxine Hong Kingston & new work by Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, & Pulitzer Prize winner Jonathan Gold.
