Sunday, June 24th 2012 11 AM – Gather; 12 PM – Start
Starts at 36th Street & 5th Ave, ends at Christopher & Greenwich Streets.
The first March was held in 1970, and has since become an annual civil rights demonstration. Over the years its purpose has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to the illness, violence and neglect. Through the years, we’re still here and the March is a celebration of our lives and our community.
This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are necessary. Special needs seating will be made available near the intersection of 23rd Street and 5th Avenue.
