We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Business Development to join our team. To qualify you must have a Master of Business Administration degree along with 3-5 years Management experience working in Business Development, Consulting, or Health Care capacity required. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and directing the initiatives, objectives and policies of the Business Development Department. The primary goals of the Business Development Department are to formulate business plans for NYU Hospitals Center to maximize current revenue potential, identify and analyze potential new business opportunities and to plan and manage the implementation of these new ventures. The Director of Business Development recommends implementation of worthwhile business ventures to senior management. Supervises the operations of the Business Development department. Leads and/or coordinates Project Teams. Coordinates/manages project teams with project manager to develop project implementation plans (includes time, cost, personnel and capital needs, project expenditures). Interacts with representatives to the organization in the formulation and negotiation of various business projects. Monitors project expectations, status and results. Completes projects by deadlines and ensures Sr. VP is kept apprised of problems, discrepancies and delays. Directs the activities of the Business Development Department. Formulates concepts and ideas for creation of new revenue sources. Performs analyses of financial performance and cost projections of business ideas and concepts. Uses data and financial analysis of projects to determine their worth to the organization and correlation to departmental objectives. Performs other duties as assigned.
