Global Strategy Group seeks to hire a motivated, organized and goal‐oriented individual to fill a challenging
position in our growing Advocacy Communications practice.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the day‐to‐day account leader and chief media relations liaison on key accounts
Manage the activities and work product of junior team members
Lead strategic communications planning initiatives
Draft and edit a wide range of materials, including press releases, statements and strategy memos
Work with senior practitioners across the firm on business planning and business development,
including pitch presentations, RFP responses, lead generation and networking
Manage, hire and train qualified team members and existing staff
Qualifications:
7+ years progressive experience in public relations, crisis management and public affairs
Experience working with non‐profit and corporate clients
Strong organization, prioritization, and project management skills
Ability to work efficiently with an emphasis on attention to detail
Excellent presentation and writing skills
Experience working with and managing media relations with, and on behalf of, high profile individuals
Experience pitching and managing placement of stories in national outlets
Proven track record of successfully converting new business and up selling
Experience working in a large networked agency as well as a small boutique firm a plus
Experience in politics, government a plus
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required. Masters degree a plus.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
