The open auditions for L.A. region are over and 8 talents are moving on to Top Idol’s TV show elimination round with two runner-ups. According to the judges, this audition was the hardest to score as everyone was stellar in their performance.

Judges for Top Idol’s last L.A. audition included Martha Huang, Top Idol’s honorable judge; Daniel Liang, ex-executive producer of Top Idol and May Chiang, ETTV America EVP. In this round of audition, judges welcome Aileen Xu, Chiun Hsia, Jincong Situ, Naomi Zhang, George Ge, Hao Ho, Yvonne Botti and Albert Chen. The two runner-ups are Ashley Liang and Weijoe Hsiao.

The audition was none the less one of the hardest to judge due to the many strong talents that attended. American and Taiwanese mixed beauty, Yvonne Botti advanced with her exceptional outspoken personality all the while with her tattoos and nose ring caught the attention of the judges. Hao Ho came with a guitar and enchanted the judges with his humble presence and rock and roll performance.

Top Idol’s judge, Daniel explains that this season has already gathered a lot of exceptional talents so the competition is indeed going to be challenging and rewarding. He advises many contestants to be consistent with their performance and that everyone should be able to master singing Chinese and English during the competition. There were some last minute applicants that still didn’t make the cut mainly due to the lack of preparation and overall ensemble.

Top Idol is now gearing up for its last audition in New York on June 30 at Flushing Mall, NY.

Stay tuned for Top Idol’s season premier on July 15, where all 24 contestants from Los Angeles will compete in 4 elimination rounds. The rigorous and competitive rounds will swipe out 6 contestants, leaving 18 to advance to the Preliminary Round.
