New York City is arguably the jazz capital of the world, and this festival highlights some of our musical metropolis’ finest contributions to the genre. Highlights of the 2012 festival include: a rare New York appearance by Ernie Andrews and Freddy Cole in an evening of song; a celebration of Richard Rodgers; and the Count Basie Orchestra with special guest Bucky Pizzarelli.
New York’s singular summer festival returns for two weeks of brilliant jazz performed by dozens of the finest soloists and ensembles playing today. Whether it’s soulful singers, piano partners or dueling drummers, Jazz in July will leave you enchanted.
