Job Description:
- Prepare and review monthly consolidation entries and ensure proper elimination of certain accounts upon consolidation
- Manage the monthly intercompany reconciliation process with our international subsidiaries
- Assist and support our monthly internal reporting to management and our quarterly preparation of external financial statements to our parent company and other third
parties - Be a key resource in our Global Finance Transformation project the primary objective of which is to enhance processes to better support the business
- Define, prepare, review and analyze various monthly schedules and rollforwards supporting the consolidated balance sheet and income statement
- Perform accounting research to support adherence to our accounting policies and procedures for significant accounting transactions
- Ensure proper documentation and support for monthly account reconciliations
- Review and approve monthly journal entries
- Support all forms of reporting to our parent company, who is a public registrant in Italy
- Serve as contact for inquiries, problems, and exceptions related to the review of account reconciliations
- Support the quarterly reviews and annual audits with our external registered public accounting firm, Deloitte
Qualifications:
- CPA
- BS in Accounting
- 4 years or more experience in a Big Four audit firm environment plus 2 or more years of industry experience
- Ability to manage staff of two to three
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards
- Ability to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform high-quality work
- Focus on continuous improvement and ability to be an agent for change
- Familiarity with reporting and consolidation processes
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Working knowledge of Peoplesoft and Outlooksoft is a plus
- Experience in real estate and/or services companies a plus
- Experience working for a U.S. public registrant a plus
