Peter Som is leaving his consulting position at Tommy Hilfiger after five years. Som started his eponymous company in 2001, and was brought onto the Hilfiger team as a creative consultant in 2009 to refresh and modernize the label.

The decision to part with the company was mutual and amicable for both sides, and as such, Som won’t be involved in Hilfiger’s spring 2013 womenswear line.

Peter was raised in San Francisco by architect parents of Chinese ancestry who encouraged in him the ideals of purity of form, function and composition. Now lives in Greenwich Village, New York City. Peter still draws from these early architectural influences as he designs clothes for tasteful and elegant women.
