Bremerton swimmer Nathan Adrian wanted another Olympic gold medal in the 4 x 100 meter Freestyle Relay. Adrian was born in Bremerton, Washington in 1988. He is the son of James and Cecilia Adrian; his mother Cecilia is Chinese and was born and raised in Hong Kong.
Adrian swam the first leg of the relay while the new American go-to-guy Ryan Lochte took the anchor. Adrian won a gold medal in this event in 2008, but he only swam the preliminary heat, not the final.
Also, Nathan Adrian has qualified fastest in the 100-meter freestyle preliminaries at the London Games today. Adrian won his heat in 48.19 seconds while swimming in a lane next to world-record holder Cesar Cielo of Brazil.
Let’s go Nathan!
