POSITION BACKGROUND:
MIG is actively looking for a JUNIOR Accounting and Office Manager with professional services experience to join our rapidly growing team. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial and operational functions of the company in a stand-alone role with no support staff. You will work closely with the President and other staff in the transfer of financial information to a new software system. This is a soup to nuts position. CANDIDATES MUST SUBMIT SALARY REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED.
POSITION DUTIES:
Duties for this position include:
- Manage AP and AR functions, payroll, cash management and reconciliations
- Define, analyze and interpret operational & financial metrics, results and trends
- Prepare annual budgets; Assist with financial and tax planning
- Project Accounting background:
- Billing, Collections
- Vendor contracts, purchases and payments
- Payroll preparation and maintenance
- Benefits administration in conjunction with HR Manager
- Sales Taxes preparation
- Identify and manage Insurance needs
- Review, develop, enforce internal financial and operational process controls
- Actively participate in the organization’s process and work-flow definition
- Office / Facilities Management including handling an office move
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Position Skills & Requirements:
- Professional Services industry experience in a demanding environment in a stand-alone role
- 5+ years of Accounting/Operations experience
- Required proficiency with ERP systems
- Required proficiency with MS Office: advanced level
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

- Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills
