Position Summary:
The Account Executive (AE) directs and coordinates all day-to-day Agency efforts on behalf of a client’s product or service for his/her assigned account(s). The AE serves as one of the main contacts between Agency and Client and represents both to provide the highest quality work in the quickest, most cost-effective manner. The AE builds and strengthens internal and Client relationships; supervises daily activity of, and together with the entire account team, provides sound and responsible traditional and interactive marketing counsel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the client project and take an active role in all disciplines (marketing / strategy, creative, research, development, vendor coordination) from planning to completion
Marketing/Strategy
• Participating in development of marketing plans, including objectives and strategies
• Completing analysis of the client’s business, specific product/service, and competition
• Executing sound and relevant traditional and interactive marketing strategies in coordination with account team
• Utilizing internal and external Agency resources to provide on-target solutions
• Reviewing program and/or campaign analysis to make necessary adjustments/recommendations
• Providing support for Agency recommendations
Creative
• Participate in the development and review of project statements of work and/or scope documents
• Reviewing statements of work and/or scope documents with the Creative and Production departments and disseminating all relevant information
• Overseeing creative execution and adhering to client identity/corporate guidelines
• Evaluating creative product against brief to ensure solution is on-strategy and meets Client’s marketing needs
Account Maintenance/Daily Support
• Maintaining Agency and Client relationships
• Maintaining overall quality control
• Writing conference reports, documenting Agency/Client interaction and decisions
• Conduct weekly status meetings
• Remaining up-to-date on Client/Competition/Agency/Industry business through trade publications, newspaper articles, and other sources
Experience Requirements:
• 1 year Account Executive experience with customer relationship marketing
• 2-3 years of experience in the advertising industry (Interactive and Traditional)
• Financial Services industry experience encouraged (but not required)
Education/Training Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Solid writing skills required
• Strong knowledge of MS Office
