SMART has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Consultant in our New York Office.

POSITION SUMMARY:
• Database development experience (Oracle, MS SQL Server)
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence softwares (Cognos, Oracle Reports etc)
• Business requirements gathering and specification
• Prepare documentation for end users of IT systems and IT support services workers using established processes
• Prepare reports on the status of applications for use by customers
• Quality assurance testing
• Project Management and coordination skills
• Attend training as needed to develop relevant knowledge and skills
• Travel as required
• Perform administrative duties as required, including timesheet recording and writing reports.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems support or business analysis in a strong IT organization
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience in developing functional designs
• Development of test plans
• Skilled in workflow design and implementation
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills along with critical thinking ability
• Highly motivated, success oriented, organized and strong work ethic
• Insurance Industry experience preferred
