Guo Degang is widely credited with reviving the popularity of cross talk, an ancient Chinese performance art that combines stand-up comedy with puns and poetry. He brings his 2012 American Tour Show to The Beacon Theatre on November 4 at 7:30PM!!

Beijing Deyunshe is located in Tianqiao, which is the cradleland of  Beijing style folk art. It is converted from the Tianle theatre which was founded in 1933. The theatre has a total construction area of nearly  1000 square meters. It is able to accommodate 300 people. It is performance-based on traditional crosstalk, guqu and other folk art forms by “Beijing Deyunshe”.

“Beijing Deyunshe” was originally created by the crosstalk actor Mr.Guo Degang in 1996. It is a folk art performance groups by bring honor to national culture, trains the folk art talented person and serving the public for the purpose. All actors’ artistic level and artistic ethics are praised by the people from Beijing and Tianjin. “Beijing Deyunshe” is based on bring honor to national culture, take the theatre as the medium to spread the traditional culture and the folk art, it lets the crosstalk come back to the theatre to be able to survive, and start a new bright spot in Beijing performance market.
