Back to Category Print this page

Friday, November 9th
7pm – 9pm

215 Centre Street New York, NY 10013

As the NBA season gets under way, the next chapter of one of the most compelling stories in sports is about to unfold. Jeremy Lin’s impact on sports, however you look at it, whoever you are has been historic. His narrative in some ways has served as a microcosm for race relations in America. How much rides on his success…or failure. Devin Gordon (GQ), Hua Hsu (Grantland), and Will Leitch (New York Magazine) consider Lin’s cultural meaning and importance separate from his performance on the basketball floor. Every happy story in sports has a come-back-to-earth phase. What will Jeremy Lin’s look like?

Join us for a lively talk with Devin Gordon, Articles Editor GQ Magazine, Hua Hsu writer for Grantland and Will Leitch writer of ROCKET MAN, the recent article that featured Jeremy Lin, the first Asian American to grace a GQ cover: http://www.gq.com/sports/profiles/201211/jeremy-lin-gq-november-2012-cover-story
