Bérénice Marlohe (born 19 May 1979) is a French actress. Marlohe played Bond girl “Séverine” in the twenty-third James Bond film, Skyfall. Bérénice was born in Paris, France of mixed ancestry, daughter to a French mother and a Cambodian and Chinese father.
She had trouble getting on screen roles in France because people did not think she fit the mold of a French actress. Before Bond, her performances were primarily rooted in small roles on French TV. She acted mainly on French television, including roles in “Père et maire” (2002), “R.I.S. Police scientifique” (2006) and “Équipe médicale d’urgence” (2006).
