In a show of support for the New York community so deeply affected by Hurricane Sandy, the Festival is making its Gala Concert at 7:30pm, Friday, November 2nd, FREE to the public. Complimentary tickets can be reserved by calling the Manhattan School of Music box office at 917-493-4428.
Chuan-yun Li is one of Hong Kong’s finest violinists and the youngest winner ever of the Wieniawski International Youth Violin Competition at the age of eleven. Later trained under the legendary Dorothy Delay, he went on to the international stage performing with the world’s leading maestros and orchestras. Yuki Ip’s charming and warm soprano has won her much adoration and critical acclaims in Hong Kong. Her career highlights include performing with José Carreras and under the baton of Maestro Helmuth Rilling. Maestro Johnny M Poon leads the MSM Symphony in the Festival Closing Gala Concert.
