Major Responsibilities
Position Objective: Individual Product Distribution is the wholesaling arm for Guardian and its subsidiaries. The Annuity Marketing Manager will be responsible for the strategic development, creative execution and implementation of marketing communications for Guardian’s annuity product line-up that is sold into Guardian’s distribution channels
The Annuity Marketing Manager is responsible for communicating complex annuity products and services to our Distribution Channels in an understandable and user friendly way, as well as explains these complex features to clients who may not be sophisticated investors through client marketing material. He/She must have a solid understanding of annuity products, riders and the various audiences involved, be able to target communications appropriately. Ability to interact and influence-manage many different nts within the company, specifically the product development group.

Principal Accountabilities:
Manage creative development, production, and distribution of product and broker literature.
Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily product development, and sales, legal and compliance) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
Responsible for monitoring expenses.
Responsible for Guardian Investor Services (GIS) messaging and Brand oversight on marketing collateral.
Drives continual process improvement in the management of communications and processes.
Requirements
Skills and Knowledge:
5 years developing integrated high level annuity marketing strategies across multiple financial services channels
Highly knowledgeable in design and production process pertaining to print and electronic media; ability to provide design direction and feedback to internal/external design

Ability to conceptualize, create and execute within tight budgets and deadlines
Strong editorial, writing and project management skills (writing samples required).
Solid knowledge of annuity products, industry practices, and FINRA requirements.
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
Proven ability to lead the development and production of marketing communications to meet multiple communication, audience and marketing objectives.
Strong computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Adobe, (Pagemaker & Qwark preferred not required).
Knowledge of database management and direct mail marketing
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience: Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: 5 years of solid Annuity Marketing with strong understanding of distribution channels (Agency, Wirehouse and Independent Planner Channels).
