Position Overview
The Marketing Finance Manager will be based in the New York Office and report directly to the VP of Finance, with a dotted reporting line to the SVP of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Specific activities within this position include:
• Acting as a key finance liaison with Marketing teams. Partnering with Marketing teams to develop medium term & annual plans, reconcile those plans to the overall financial targets, monitor performance, and quantify risks & opportunities vs. those plans
• Driving line-item management process to include (a) spend estimation by program; (b) PO creation (c) invoice coding & processing; and (d) payment confirmation
• Developing, tracking, updating & monthly reporting of budget and LE’s
• Guiding proper phasing of dollars to track volume phasing as a risk mitigation process
• Developing template for and communicating tracking system for 3rd Party suppliers
• Developing business processes and tools to provide accurate, consistent and timely reporting and analysis on business performance – including data management, development/execution of management reporting tools
• Participating in /conducting cross-functional business reviews to track and communicate financial performance including risks and opportunities vs. plan
• Evaluating and presenting to senior management findings/recommendations on program initiatives/opportunities/risks through scenario modeling and other financial analysis
• Providing monthly portfolio add-up and tracking to ensure confidence in overall budget
• Managing of ringfence release at key periods of the year
• Leading re-class of incorrectly-coded marketing charges
• Managing of agency contract terms, reconciliation against work plan & payments

Key Relationships
In this role, the Marketing Finance Manager partners with the HQ Marketing, Field Marketing and Commercial teams to deliver financial commitments and drive profitable growth.
Knowledge/Experience Requirements
Candidates must possess a combination of the following:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field s required
• Minimum of 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis
• Wine/spirits and/or consumer products experience is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is preferred
