The Chelsea Symphony returns with a fantastic holiday concert coming up on Friday, December 7 at 8:00 p.m! Taking helm this time will be our new conductor, Reuben Blundell – joining us after participating in the conductor search during our last concert series – and Chelsea Symphony conductor and co-founder Yaniv Segal. Our concerti will feature violinists Annelies Mast and Ashley Windle on Bach’s Concerto in D Minor and Julie Desbordes on a trumpet concerto by Johann Nepomuk Hummel. The orchestra will also premiere “In a Snowy Day: A Poem for Orchestra” by cherished Chelsea Symphony composer Seth Bedford and perform Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride with a guest conductor, who won the opportunity in last year’s silent auction.
Last but certainly not least, we will continue our annual tradition of performing Chelsea Symphony Resident Composer Aaron Dai’s holiday piece, The Night Before Christmas. This year, we are thrilled to feature celebrity narrator Mo Rocca. Mo Rocca has been seen and heard frequently on television and radio in programs such as CBS Sunday Morning and NPR’s Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me!
