Job Description:
Niche Media is the country’s preeminent regional magazine group catering to high-end luxury markets through 19 distinct publications including BOSTON COMMON, CAPITOL FILE, GOTHAM, HAMPTONS, OCEAN DRIVE, PHILADELPHIA STYLE and VEGAS. Niche Media taps into exceptional markets and creates city-specific magazines catering to readers by offering the best in fashion, food, celebrity, culture, society, style, philanthropy, and personality-driven stories.

Responsibilities:
• Recording of monthly and/or weekly revenue streams, including bad debt and allowance reserves
• Review and record the daily cash postings
• Revenue and cash account reconciliations, including any related accounts
• Intercompany reconciliations related to revenue, cash and commissions
• Reconciliations between general ledger and sub ledger accounting systems
• Assisting with monthly closes
• Problem solving and miscellaneous and ad hoc projects, as needed
• Assist with the budget process, as needed

Qualifications:
• Accounting or finance degree from a 2 year college or university preferred
• Minimum of 4 years accounting experience (media or entertainment a plus)
• Strong organization skills and ability to handle a high volume of paper traffic.
• Excellent follow through with internal and external correspondence.
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong problem solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Datatrax, MAS200 and QuickBooks
