The Japanese wear western-style clothing on a daily basis, but have never lost respect for their traditional attire, the kimono. It requires precise craftsmanship and is a beautiful art form reflecting the Japanese spirit of treating all things with great care. Presenter Emi Kikuchi will display a variety of contemporary kimonos and explain the appropriate occasions for their use.
