“Bicycle Utopia lives at the intersection between bicycle culture and the unparalleled art and cultural experience that defines New York City,” said Bicycle Utopia founder Jeanne Hilary. “‘Am I Invisible?’ is a way to encourage people to be more aware each other and cyclists, to promote awareness about how we share the streets, and how bicycle culture contributes to the culture of New York.
“In addition to promoting bicycle safety and awareness,” added Jeanne Hilary, “‘Am I Invisible?’ aims to keep interest in bicycling alive during the winter, and to draw attention to Transportation Alternatives, who does such a great job improving transportation for all New Yorkers. We’re thrilled to be able to support their mission.”
“We’re very grateful to Bicycle Utopia for their generous support,” responded Paul Steely White, Executive Director of Transportation Alternatives. “Every dollar donated helps us make New York a safe and encouraging city for people of every age and ability to bike.”
