The Village Voice’s sixth annual tasting event, “Choice Eats,” announces 24 additional restaurants set to be participating in this year’s event, bringing the total to 79, with final additions coming soon! VIP Tickets to the event sold out in under 30 minutes, and General Admission tickets are nearly sold out. New additional restaurants that will be represented at this year’s “Choice Eats” are: Anella, Brooklyn Brine, Carlo’s Bakery, Chinese Mirch, David’s Brisket House, EMVI Chocolate, Grandaisy Bakery, Juliette, La Newyorkina, Landbrot Bakery, Le Midi Bistro, Max, Ovelia, Peanut Butter & Co., Psistaria, Peppa’s Jerk Chicken, Pig & Khao, Resto, Rosamunde Sausage Grill, S’more Bakery, Tabata Noodle Restaurant, The Good Batch, Woodland andYemen Cafe & Restaurant.

“Choice Eats” 2013 will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 6:30 – 9:30 PM at the 69th Armory on Lexington Avenue. All VIP tickets for Choice Eats have sold out and a limited number of General Admission tickets are still available. This beloved annual foodie event boasts 50+ of NYC’s most sought after restaurants from over 35 nations in New York’s five boroughs — all under one roof. Each of this year’s participating restaurants have been handpicked by Village Voice resident food critics Robert Sietsema and Tejal Rao.
This year’s event will feature DJ sets by Vito & Druzzi, best known as members of The Rapture. Additional special guest chef-celebrity, Sarah Simmons, founder of CITY GRIT and recently named as one of “America’s Greatest New Cooks” by FOOD & WINE Magazine, will host a demo for all VIP ticket-holders during the VIP hour from 5:30 – 6:30 PM.
The Village Voice will once again partner with the non-profit organization Slow Food NYC for the event and plans to donate a portion of ticket sales.
