Job Description:
Are you ready for a one of kind work experience? Merlin Entertainments Group is preparing for the opening of two very exciting new attractions in the Xanadu Complex Arena in New Jersey. The new attractions will be the first of its kind on the East Coast- Pepsi Globe and Legoland Discovery Center. We are looking for an experienced individual to support our Finance Team with both attractions in a way that is in line with our company values. Here are some of the responsibilities for the role:

• Providing the Corporate Office (based in the UK) with timely, accurate management information
• Working with the Finance Director USA in developing the existing business and other potential US businesses Responsible for day-to-day accounting operations for the attraction – monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable;
• Full monthly closing responsibility – including compiling back-up for journal entries, posting entries to General Ledger, and generating financial statements;
• Support Finance Manager in facilitating work distribution within the department to ensure reports deadlines are met and distribution of reports are done on a timely basis;
• Provide general knowledge of all filings for payroll, health and welfare programs, ERISA.

Requirements:

• Bachelors of Science in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus
• Computer skills a must, advanced excel skills required including knowledge of macros
• Must have strong understanding of Account/Bank Reconciliation, Fixed Assets, Health and Welfare Programs, ERISA and payroll.
• Minimum of 5 years experience of the following:
• Full accountability of all aspects of monthly closings, and
• Day to day efficiencies with A/P and A/R Management;
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.

The Legoland Discovery Center- in the same vicinity will be an indoor attraction that will focus on interactive play for children. It will be a great opportunity for the child to become the creator.
