Hoshoen and Libre Ltd., in collaboration with HSJ, Inc. and produced by Big Wave Events has created a spectacular kimono exhibition and kimono fashion show in Grand Central Terminal on April 19, 2013 in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Grand Central Terminal and tribute to NYC.
New York, NY, April 19, 2013: To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Grand Central Terminal and to show their appreciation for the kindness that the United States has shown over the years to the Japanese people, one of Japan’s premiere Kimono makers, Hoshoen and Libre Ltd, has created a spectacular kimono show to be held at Grand Central Terminal in the Vanderbilt Hall located next to the main concourse hall. The show will feature over 140 models, including 120 models that have come from Japan. This is not a typical fashion show; the models are kimono enthusiasts, eager to demonstrate the beauty and elegance of the traditional Japanese garment. Included in the show are special fusion kimonos representing fashion created by design schools in Japan specifically for the show.
Hoshoen and Libre Ltd. engaged Big Wave, a leading event producer in the US to produce the Kimono show in New York City. Big Wave has created a special effects package for the show that is unparalleled in the fashion world. The show will feature a 25,000 watt QSC KLA audio system, high definition video, and the latest in intelligent and LED lighting along with cutting edge décor elements. Vanderbilt Hall will turn into a veritable fashion palace for the noon hour courtesy of the digital effects of Big Wave Events.
