Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) is hosting the Second Annual Celebration of Community Heroes Dinner to celebrate outstanding contributions and accomplishments of individuals, companies, and organizations that inspire hope and help advance our Chinatown community. This year’s honorees are Rocky Chin and May Y. Chen (Chinatown leaders and activists), Peter Lau (President, Confucius Mannings Pharmacies), and adoption support organization Families with Children from China of Greater New York. Highlights of the evening include a guest performance by Min Xiao-Fen’s Blue Pipa Trio. The cocktail reception starts at 6:00 pm, followed by the dinner and awards program at 7:00 pm. Festival attire is encouraged.
This celebratory evening is instrumental in raising funds to support education, exhibitions, research, and cultural initiatives – enabling MOCA to contribute back to the community and advance its core mission.
