Union Square North
Since the initiation of the “Passport to Taiwan” festival in 2002, it has become the most important event for the Taiwanese American and the Mandarin Speaking community in the New York Tri-State area. Tremendous resources have been gathered in order to make the event successful. The festival has since become the largest outdoor Taiwanese event in the entire United States.

Arts in Motion: Taiwanese American Contemporary Art
The Participating artists and their works are
· Nung Hsin Hu: Taste – a see-saw style chopstick that hold a tongue and dips into the sauce in this interactive project.
· Molmol Kuo: Door Everywhere – an interactive gate-shaped sculpture that will detect and respond to audience movement.
· Lin Shih Pao: Sun in Action – a large car sculpture prepared with workers at Crystal Window and Door Systems.
· YUNG-LI DANCE: Dance duet – a story about travelers and the journey of new immigrants.
