Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will become a Lead Analyst within the Financial Solutions & Support group acting as system administrator to our Hyperion System 9 applications. The candidate must provide expert business support to all internal clients, exhibiting a high degree of professionalism, technical acumen, business process knowledge and responsiveness. The candidate must have the ability to lead, coordinate, organize, identify & resolve issues and implement solutions. The position has very high interactions with Internal Clients & IS Services Groups; therefore, the candidate must have effective interpersonal communications skills, facilitation techniques, problem solving, leadership and project management.

Job Qualifications:

– Development and/or system administration experience with Hyperion System 9 Shared Services and Analytic Services (Essbase) applications including database design, security design and build and Hyperion business rules and calculation script maintenance.

– Experience in maintaining Hyperion System 9 Planning applications including creating data forms and designing and building security.

– Extensive experience in the design and build of reports using Hyperion Essbase addin for Excel and Smart view.

– Experience in the design, build and maintenance of reports using Hyperion System 9 BI + Financial Reports.

– Ability to effectively research and evaluate new technologies that would benefit our clients.

– Ability to anticipate clients’ requirements and identify and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision.

– Function as a liaison between business owners and information technology in developing and supporting financial systems solutions to enable business process improvements.

– Act as the lead system administrator on all Hyperion applications used to develop financial business plans and forecasts, including maintaining security and SOX adherence, updating metadata and data entry templates, performing ad hoc report writing, scheduling batch processes and performing all necessary related maintenance.

– Conduct and participate in regular meetings with shared services finance and lines-of-business decision support teams to gain a deep understanding of their business processes, anticipate their system needs and configure Hyperion applications to exploit product capabilities in meeting those needs.

– Participate in the change request life cycle for Hyperion applications by delivering a functional design to information systems, performing and documenting system tests, obtaining user acceptance and business sign-off, delivering user training and coordinating rollout to production.

– Application Administration – production system only
– Security (Logon IDs, Authority Levels) – Review, approve and facilitate system access rights
– Business configurations and Master Code Table Maintenance where appropriate
– Ensure overall SOX adherence and compliance for application level security

– Business Configuration
– Master Data Maintenance where appropriate
– Exploit product capabilities and features by configuring product to best support business requirements

– User Support and Training
– Business support for the Help Desk, respond to usage questions
– Develop and maintain product training materials and coordinate periodic staff training
– Maintain Intranet site related materials

– Facilitate Work Request Creation and Prioritization
– Create System Investigation Requests (SIRs)
– Work with business units on prioritization of all SIRs and projects against available business resources
– Manage the defects and enhancements lists

– Document Business Cases and Requirements
– Assist in the preparation and development of business case documentation on behalf of functional units
– In partnership with our business clients, research, lead and recommend value added process improvements that would positively impact line of business performance
– Business requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.

– Business Intelligence and Business Performance Assistance
– Support and/or coordinate the development, distribution and consistency of corporate metrics, i.e., the Corporate Scorecard
– Coordinate cross-functional metrics with Business Support Teams and Business Unit Finance groups
– Conduct internal and external benchmarking to facilitate improved performance and consistency
– Facilitate enterprise data extraction via applicable data warehouses, e.g., PeopleSoft EPM
– Deliver on ad hoc business data and report requests in support of short term needs

– Plan Upgrades and Maintenance
– Participate in multi-functional teams as required to coordinate cross-functional product upgrades, e.g., a general PeopleSoft upgrade.

– Testing
– Coordinate business unit/systems/integration product testing to support defect repair and/or system release oriented upgrade efforts
– Provide business approval control for all changes and implementations

– Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree a plus.

– 5+ years of business process and operational experience.

– Experienced business systems analysis & relational database design.
– Experienced facilitator and project planner. 2+ years in technical leadership capacity

– A strong user of MS Excel and familiar with Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.

– Excellent people, project management and leadership skills.

– Strong customer focus and service provider orientation.

– Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
