Responsibilities
The Credit Policy team at Moody’s Investors Service is a group of professionals who oversee the general credit policies and rating methodologies for the rating agency, publish rating performance research, and manage professional training for analytical staff.
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our fast growing model verification team. The verification team has the responsibility to verify all models used for ratings for all sectors. The position requires collaboration with ratings analysts, model managers, research groups, development groups, and the model validation group. Typical tasks will include overseeing the work of financial engineers, designing and implementing testing procedures, and assisting with designing and implementing change management and control processes for ratings models.
Qualifications
-4+ years of overall work experience. Experience with process management a plus
-Graduate degree in financial engineering or business administration with concentration in finance or Ph.D. in a quantitative field with financial modeling experience
-Understanding of financial model development including model design and implementation
-Experience with source code control, issue management, document management, and other systems relevant to change management a plus
-Hard working, easy to work with, and a willingness to learn new technologies
-A good understanding of financial theory such as fixed income and credit risk is a strong plus
-Experience with languages such as VBA, C, C++, or C#. Experience with a statistical language such as Matlab, Stata, or SAS.
