Youth Orchestra, CYCNY, a Queens-based youth orchestra will present its 11th Annual Concert at Lincoln Center on Saturday, May 25, 8 PM at Alice Tully Hall. Maestro Chijen Christopher Chung will lead more than 70 young musicians to perform works of Classical, Popular, Broadway and Asian Music.
The highlights of this concert will be:
The US premiere of renowned Taiwanese composer- Ma Shui-Long’s “Searching” Guzheng Concerto for Guzheng and Orchestra, Will feature the most prominent Guzheng artist of Taiwan, Ms. Huang Hao-Yun, to be the soloist for this fascinatingly unique and innovative piece of music.
Also featuring the orchestra’s faculty Chi-Ching Grace Lin, she would be the soloist performing, the amazing work by American young composer, Andrew Beall’s “Dance of Identity” from “Affirmation” for Solo Percussion and Orchestra.
There will be the World Premiere of American composer, James Margoshes’s
“Symphonic Dance” from “Fame” – the Musical.

Georges Bizet – L’Arlesienne Suite No.2
Chinese Folk Song – Kang Ding Love Song
