2013 Summer Korean Traditional Instrument Workshop (July 8-12) – Free Admission!!!
Learn Korean Traditional Instruments with Professional instructors!!!
Korean Performing Arts Center in Midtown Manhattan presents the 3rd Korean Traditional Instrument Workshop from July 8th to July 12th, with 5 sessions. KPAC has offered this workshop each year to give students a great opportunity to learn more about Korean culture and arts through traditional musical instruments.
This workshop aims to inform and disseminate Korea traditional culture and arts in mainstream America. In particular, we are excited to offer this opportunity to students who have never experienced learning Korean traditional instruments, or adults who are interested in traditional music but do not have the time or opportunity.
The students will learn popular Korean folk songs with the three traditional instruments, geyageum (Korean 12-stringed Zither), haegeum (Korean traditional 2-stringed fiddle) and janggu (Korean traditional drum). On the last day of the workshop, the organization will offer students a completion certificate.
Participants of all skill levels are welcome (from beginner to expert, from kids to adults). We will accept only 20 people in order of application. To RSVP, please call us at 212-921-9344 or email us at edu@kpacnyc.org. Please leave your name, email address, and phone number.
