Tuesday, July 16 from 7PM to 9PM
Teach For America Office, 315 West 36th Street
An informal discussion featuring the media coverage of Eddie Huang’s new book, “Fresh Off the Boat”. A few articles will be shared with participants in advance, and then we’ll gather to chat and reflect–it’s that easy!
This event is the first in a series to provide a forum for TAP members to engage in fun yet substantive discussions on relevant issues. “Fresh Off the Boat” has fans and critics alike, and highlights themes that are great food for thought. Future roundtable discussion topics may include: the challenges of bridging two cultures and identities; hurdles that Asians might face in the workplace; growing up with immigrant parents; the dating culture as a young professional in NYC; and more–the direction of discussion will ultimately be driven by the interests of everyone participating!
