FEATURING:
Soul Doctor
Following a sold-out Off-Broadway run last summer, Soul Doctor comes to Broadway! The new Broadway musical SOUL DOCTOR tells the fascinating story of the beloved yet controversial father of popular Jewish music, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. A modern-day troubadour, Shlomo ignited the spirit of millions around the world with his soul stirring melodies, transformative storytelling and boundless love. After his childhood escape from Nazi Germany, the young Rabbi formed an unlikely friendship with legendary jazz singer Nina Simone, who introduced him to soul and gospel music. Fusing his roots with his newfound inspiration, Shlomo created a revolutionary musical sound, writing songs that became instant standards. As a “Rock Star Rabbi” of the 1960s, he struggled to harmonize his traditional beliefs with the “free love” generation. Today, his uplifting music and message help to define America’s most defiant era.

Rock of Ages

Set in LA’s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, ROCK OF AGES tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit, and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in LA to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. ROCK OF AGES takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! So get your tickets to this five time Tony Award®-nominated musical and get ready to PARTY!

Storyville
New Orleans, 1917: Something happened that changed the American Songbook forever.

The time, Mardi Gras; the place, Storyville – two blocks from the French Quarter. Saloons, gambling joints and brothels set the scene for a new kind of musical. Some even say it was the beginning of jazz. People fell in love, a world disappeared, and the music moved upriver. Directed by BILL CASTELLINO with choreography by MERCEDES ELLINGTON and musical direction by WILLIAM FOSTER McDANIEL, Storyville is the tale of what happened in that red light district, allowing jazz to become one of America’s gifts to the world. Storyville is written by playwright ED BULLINS with music and lyrics by MILDRED KAYDEN.

Avenue Q
The Tony Award winning musical AVENUE Q, which played a triumphant six years on Broadway, is now in its 4th year at its current home, New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), where continues to play to large and enthusiastic audiences. Winner of three 2004 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score (Messrs, Lopez and Marx) and Best Book of a Musical (Mr. Whitty), AVENUE Q is the hilarious and enormously popular musical about a group of 20-something — people and puppets alike — who move to New York with big dreams and tiny bank accounts. Together they live as neighbors on a street in New York as they try to discover their purpose in life.
