Wednesday, July 31 from 2PM to 6PM
14th Street Passage, on the High Line at West 14th Street
Honeybees are crucial pollinators for food crops, and because they usually travel no more than three miles from their hives, local honey is infused with a true taste of place. In New York City, where beekeeping is thriving, honeybees gather nectar and pollen from street trees, flowerbeds, backyard gardens, and public parks – like the High Line – to create honey that’s a unique reflection of the urban biodiversity of New York City. During Honey Day at the High Line, visitors are invited to taste their way through New York City’s honey offerings, and meet beekeepers from all five boroughs.
