St. John’s University presents VIVA VERDI AND FRIENDS
Featuring Verdi selections by: QUEENS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Reowned conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos will direct the performance of this year’s program.
“We invite our neighbors in the community to bring their lawn chars nd enjoy a night of first-class music entertainment with the Queens Symphony Orchestra,” said Joseph Sciame, Vice President for Community Relations. “This is our 15th annual concert and it’s become a tradition that the entire St. John’s and Queens communities look forward to each summer.”
Viva Verdi & Friends will feature compositions by Giuseppe Verdi and other acclaimed Italian composers in a compilation that complements the summer season. This year’s concert is brought to Queens by a variety of sponsors including Con Edison, Coca-Cola and the Italian Cultural Center at St. John’s University.

Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and to arrive prior to the start at 7 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved indoors to Marillac Auditorium.
The Queens Symphony Orchestra also invites you to keep in mind of our upcoming concert at the Forest Park Bandshell on August 4th.
