Josie Robertson Plaza Lincoln Center
Lincoln Center teams up with New York’s infamous underground party people, Gemini & Scorpio, in an evening that promises to stun visually and provoke pleasantly.
New York favorite Hungry March Band whips out Indian wedding songs, spitfire Balkan and Romani numbers, and rowdy New Orleans–style brass, taking it to the streets with good-natured anarchy.
Springing from San Francisco’s circus underground, Vau de Vire Society includes classically trained dancers, acrobats, aerial artists, contortionists, circus sideshow acts, fire performers, and saucy cabaret go-gos. Belles of the annual steampunk Edwardian Ball, the “avant-cabaret community” awes and titillates with just the right amount of glitter and hot antics.
