Yue-Sai Kan Hosts China Fashion Night Featuring Guo Pei Haute Couture Show and Honoring Vivienne Tam
Proceeds to benefit The China Beauty Charity Fund’s Scholarship Program
New York, NY – Yue -Sai Kan, founder of The China Beauty Charity Fund (CBCF) is proud to announce the launch of its Fashion Scholarship Program for Chinese students, All proceeds raised during CBCF’s first annual gala, China Fashion Night, will be used to support the studies and career development of talented individuals from China. By partnering with Fashion 4 Development, CBCF will afford these young designers the opportunity to study in New York City, followed by an internship with a global brand and access to an angel investment to start a business in their native land. The program will also provide support in the preservation and employment of traditional Chinese folk art techniques, thereby bolstering sustainable, economic growth in impoverished Chinese regions.
At the China Fashion Night on September 6th, Vivienne Tam will be honored, a special haute couture fashion exhibition by Guo Pei will be presented and a performance by Hao Jiang Tian & his I Sing Beijing Ensemble will be featured.
The night’s VIP guest list includes famous fashion designers such as Alexander Wang and Jason Wu, super models Petra Nemcova, Carmen Dell’Orefice, actress Shu Qi, Director Buz Luhrmann and many more.
China Fashion Night will take place in the Pierre Hotel; 2 East 61st Street at Fifth Avenue, New York City. Cocktail reception is at 6:30pm, followed by dinner, performance, raffle and auction at 7:30pm. Tickets range from $1,000 to $3,000 for an individual ticket and $10,000 to $30,000 for a table.
