With fiery interplay between Chinese & Western instruments, Jason Kao Hwang’s Burning Bridge is a dramatic journey of sonic discoveries and sets ablaze the boundaries of cultural identity featuring Mr. Hwang’s acclaimed EDGE quartet (Jason Kao Hwang, composer, violin; Andrew Drury, drums; Ken Filiano, string bass; Stephen Haynes, cornet), plus Four (Wang Guowei, erhu; Sun Li, pipa; Steve Swell, trombone; Joe Daley, tuba). Q&A follows the concert.
