To Be Announced
Please join us for a wonderful night of music and magic in Manhattan. Friends with exceptional talent are donating their services. A cocktail hour at 6PM will provide an assortment of specialty foods donated by restaurants and bakeries.
Therefore 100 percent of ticket sales will benefit both the wiring of funds to an elderly Karen woman who purchases critically needed rice for a Monastery orphanage in Burma which struggles to feed 250 hill tribe Karen orphans and the shipment of care packages assembled in the US can reach an NGO that transfers via truck all donated goods into 9 refugee camps along the Thai/Burma border.
Most in the camps live in deplorable conditions and have only what is on their back for clothing. The only toy I ever saw after visiting many camps was a broken dolls head. Therefore boxes contain gently used clean clothing, shoes, toiletries, toys & coloring books.
Tickets sold at door only. $20 – $50. Please pay what is most comfortable for you. Cash or checks accepted.
All checks must be made out to: Buddhist Relief Mission – a non for profit 501 (3) c . US tax receipts will be issued upon request.
Also available for purchase will be lovely hand spun hand woven Burmese cotton goods which are from the grass roots mission, Weaving For Women. WFM gives training and employment opportunities to women who are vulnerable to sexual trafficking on the Thai/Burma border. All sales are returned to the refugee weaving community.
