The Korea Society is pleased to invite you to the ‘Fading Away’!
Director: Christopher H.K. Lee
Director Christopher brings vibrant and vivid untold stories of the Korean War by our parent, grandparent to the screening. The Korean War was a conflict between North and South Korea that lasted roughly three years from 1950-1953. To commemorate 60 years of Korean War armistice, Korean American Film Festival New York (www.kaffny.com) presents Korean war documentary, ‘Fading War’ to NY audiences. Fading Away is unique not because of battle scenes, war photos, visual recreations or reenactments – it is a highly unique and thought provoking film because of the extremely interesting, appealing, deeply FADING AWAY emotional, and even disturbing stories told by its participants. Their stories have never been told until now – by the civilians, refugees, and orphans who lived through the war – shaping a very original documentary film that will stand out from other traditional war documentaries forever.
